ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus Motherboard
Intel Motherboard Pict Click on the image to buy it.
ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus is a solid Intel motherboard that won't break the budget, but it also won't break any overclocking records. The nVidia NForce 650i chipset is the limiting factor here. If you do plain old overclocking, I highly recommend additional cooling fans pointed at both the chipset and the fins on the heatpipe. The high points of this Intel motherboard is the dual x16 PCI Express slots, which gamers out there will love. A few other improvements to the Plus motherboard model is the 8 phase power design and solid state polymer capacitors around the CPU socket. For the gamer or enthusiast, the ASUS P5N32-ESLI Plus is a superb motherboard. It's strong, stable, and BioShock played with ease using the hardware.

ECS P35T-A Motherboard
Intel motherboard pict This Intel motherboard comes in a box designed exactly the same way as any other contemporary ECS motherboard. The box is very thin, because there are very few accessories inside. ECS only supplies an Intel motherboard with a user’s manual, installation poster, a CD disk with drivers, one IDE and one SATA cable, and I/O Shield for the rear panel. One piece of each, and no FDD cable at all. If you look at ECS P35T-A motherboard, the design will seem pretty flawless, without any serious issues that would catch your eye right away.
You may notice one thing that is not really typical of ECS motherboards : MOSFET transistors are packed in a close group and covered with a heatsink. Another thing that you have never seen by ECS motherboards before is the electronic components used for the processor voltage regulator circuitry : they used different types of solid-state capacitors. This Intel motherboard uses regular ICH9 southbridge chip without RAID support. There is also an empty spot for the IEEE1394 controller, but it is not laid out on the PCB. There are also three USB pin-connectors that allow up to 6 additional USB 2.0 ports. JMicron JMB361 controller is responsible for the implementation of the eSATA port on the motherboard rear panel and an IDE1 connector that can host up to two Ultra DMA133/100/66 devices. A little disappointed is, there are no fan connectors around the southbridge area. Altogether there are three fan connectors, and they are all in upper left part of the PCB. Sou, you will need to use an extender/converter to connect the front panel fan for air intake. The rear panel of ECS P35T-A motherboard features PS/2 ports for keyboard and mouse, a COM port, eSATA, 6 USB ports, network RJ45 port and six audio-jacks. They used 8-channel Realtek ALC883 codec for audio and a pretty rare on contemporary mainboards Intel 82566DC GigaLAN Controller for network support.
The ECS P35T-A motherboard made a pretty neutral impression : it doesn’t push you away, but also doesn’t really attract at the same time. It cannot overclock very well, but it works fine in nominal mode. It boasts pretty modest set of features and accessories bundle, but offers acceptable PCB design and is free from noisy fans. There is nothing you could really complain about, but at the same time, not much to praise, either.
ECS P35T-A motherboard specification :
  • Processor : Intel LGA775 processors (45nm ready -- Wolfdale and Yorkfield)
  • Chipset : Intel P35 / ICH9DH
  • FSB : 533/800/1066/1333 MHz
  • Memory : 4 x DDR2 (677/800 MHz) up to 8GB
  • Audio : 8-channel Realtek ALC 883 audio codec (Co-lay ALC888)
  • LAN : Intel 82566DC GigaLAN Controller
  • Form Factor : ATX (30.5cm x 24.4cm)
  • AGP/PCI/PCIe x16/PCIe x4/PCIe x1 : 0/3/2/0/1
  • USB/FireWire/Serial/Paralel : 6(6)/0/1/0
  • PATA/SATA/eSATA : 1/6/1
  • Accessories : User manual, installation poster, driver CD , IDE cable, SATA cable, rear panel I/O Shield.

Biostar TP35D2-A7 Motherboard Review
Motherboard Review Click on the image to buy it.
Targeting a motherboard for budget offering is a difficult task because when cutting costs, features tend to get the axe as well. With the Biostar TP35D2-A7 motherboard price "only" around USD $100, Biostar had to leave a few things on this Intel motherboard. Since Firewire Support and multi-GPU CrossFire configurations is not really necessary on such an inexpensive motherboard, Biostar choosed to remove those feature from this Biostar motherboard. We can even live with the fact that the vanilla Intel ICH9 has only four SATA ports and lacks Native Command Queuing and RAID functionality. With Intel's entire ICH9 lineup lacking "parallel" ATA support, Biostar is forced to farm out IDE duties to an auxiliary chip from Marvell.
Unfortunately, the Ethernet performance of Biostar TP35D2-A7 motherboard is harder to ignore. Not only does the motherboard's PCI-based Gigabit Ethernet chip offer throughput that falls well short of the competition, its CPU utilization eclipses 40% with a Core 2 Duo E6700 processor. Poor networking performance of this motherboard is really the only glaring problem with the Biostar TP35D2-A7 motherboard, though. The performance itself is otherwise competitive with Intel P35 motherboards that cost twice as much, and that's pretty impressive all on its own. With a decent array of overclocking and tweaking options in the BIOS, Biostar TP35D2-A7 motherboard is a solid budget board.
Biostar TP35D2-A7 motherboard specification :
  • Processor : Intel LGA775 processors (45nm ready -- Wolfdale and Yorkfield)
  • Chipset : Intel P35 / ICH9
  • FSB : 533/800/1066/1333 MHz
  • Memory : 4 x DDR2 (533/667/800 MHz) up to 8 GB
  • Audio : 8-channel Intel High Definition Audio (Azalia) -- Realtek ALC888 codec
  • Form Factor : ATX (30.5cm x 24.4cm)
  • AGP/PCI/PCIe x16/PCIe x4/PCIe x1 : 0/3/1/1/1
  • USB/FireWire/Serial/Paralel : 6(6)/0/1/0
  • PATA/SATA : 1/4

Asus P5K3 Premium Black Pearl Edition Motherboard Review
Motherboard Review Asus P5K3 Premium motherboard is a gimmicky upgrade to the P5K3 Deluxe. However, unlike other similarly gimmicky enthusiast motherboard products, Asus has really done themselves proud with the motherboard. The quality of the build and components used to make the P5K3 Premium Black Pearl Edition are some of the best to ever make way into a motherboard. The DDR3 memory integration is extremely well done and its performance is superb. Unfortunately, you will not be able to upgrade your onboard memory and that is something that cannot be helped, but 2GB can last most people till the next motherboard upgrade comes along. What can be helped though is the available bandwidth of the onboard memory? Depending on the CPU you use, the memory can scale from DDR3-1066 to beyond DDR3-1600, while maintaining pretty tight timings. Asus made sure though that the memory chosen for the P5K3 Premium motherboard will outlast and outperform the competition for a long time coming.
There is no doubt, the Asus P5K3 Premium Black Pearl Edition motherboard is one of the best DDR3 motherboards you can get today. Of course, you can be expected to shell out major dough for it and that goes without question. Some unconfirmed sources have listed this Intel motherboard initial pricing to be US$1299! Sound ludicrous, but then again that is to be expected from a one-of-a-kind motherboard - just as with real rare black pearls.
Asus P5K3 Premium Black Pearl Edition motherboard specification :
  • Processor : Intel LGA775 processors (45nm ready -- Wolfdale and Yorkfield)
  • Chipset : Intel P35 / ICH9R
  • FSB : 533/800/1066/1333 MHz
  • Memory : onboard 2 x 1 GB DDR3 (1333 MHz)
  • Audio : Intel High Definition Audio (Azalia) -- ADI AD1988B HD Audio CODEC
  • LAN : Realtek RTL8110S PCI Gigabit Ethernet; Marvell 88E8056 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet; Asus WiFi-AP Solo 802.11g Wireless LAN (Realtek RTL8187L)
  • Form Factor : ATX (30.5cm x 24.4cm)
  • AGP/PCI/PCIe x16/PCIe x4/PCIe x1 : 0/3/2/0/2
  • USB/FireWire/Serial/Paralel : 6(6)/1(1)/0/0

Asus P5K3 Deluxe WiFi-AP Motherboard
Click on the image to buy it.
The newest Express chipsets to found on the shelves holding the gaze of the consumer are the G33 and P35 paired up with the ICH9,DH,R chipset. The official top secret code name assigned by Intel to the chipsets is "Bear Lake". A few of those include full 1333MHz processor and DDR3 support which has already made some huge waves among overclockers. Other features the new chipset supports are Intel ViiV Processor technology support for digital home entertainment, Rapid Recover Technology, Turbo memory for improving boot times, Quiet System and Matrix Storage Technologies via the Intel I/O Controller Hub.
Asus P5K3 Deluxe WiFi-AP motherboard presentation is what you would expect in terms of what Asus wants you to understand about what your are buying. The first thing you notice about the board is all of the copper which makes up the Asus Stack Cool 2. What you really see is a copper heat pipe cooled network of sorts placed over the most important components that always get the hottest during any type of operations especially when overclocked. This includes the PWM components and chipsets with the Northbridge getting the largest between the two. The small heat pipe network spans completely around the CPU socket allowing enough room to install your own large CPU cooler. There is a great deal of thought put in to the P35 based motherboards.
Asus had put serious effort in to planning and designing the layout. Take a look, the largest connection ports are at the very edge of Asus P5K3 Deluxe WiFi-AP motherboard which is just about the safest place possible. Everything else is either low profile such as the solid state capacitors and peripheral sockets whether PCI or storage based. Interestingly, the entire this Intel motherboard's profile isn't any taller than the heat pipes, RAM modules, or I/O ports on the back of the motherboard. You can have up to 8GB of DDR3 of any frequency. Of course, the best DDR3 will naturally operate better under any serious overclocking. The P5K3 Deluxe WiFi-AP Edition motherboard is one of the most solid motherboard. The bottom line is very simple. This is an extremely solid performer and offers a great deal all around from the BIOS to the design. Everything about the board says performance and stability. Overclockers will definitely enjoy playing around with the motherboard. It affords a nice array of settings, features, and options that are all but guaranteed to show you what it can do. Just make sure your memory, power supply, and CPU cooler are up to the task. The Asus P5K3 Deluxe WiFi-AP Edition Motherboard is a perfectly balanced enthusiast board for any and every type of desktop user.

Biostar TF7050-M2 Motherboard
Click on the image to buy it.
nVidia's GeForce 7050PV chipset includes a dedicated Video Processing Engine especially for High-Definition video - this is known as PureVideo. PureVideo supports hardware accelerated MPEG, VC-1 and WMV9 video decoding for greater energy efficiency (or, longer battery life where notebooks are concerned), as it helps to reduce CPU utilisation while watching movies. In addition, there are post processing features like Motion Adaptive De-interlacing, High Quality video scaling with improved inverse telecine algorithms like 2:2 and 3:2 pull-down correction. There is also support for Microsoft Video Mixing Renderer (VMR) for multiple, independent video playbacks at full quality and definition. GeForce 7050PV chipset also support native HDCP and integrates HDMI 1.2 on-board. Seeing as there’s no decoder or receiver that can work with Dolby TrueHD or DTS Master HD audio over a digital connection and the fact that Windows itself is still limited to just 24-bit colour (+8-bit alpha = “32-bit”) with no support for 36-bit colour (Deep Colour) on the horizon, HDMI 1.3 support is fairly pointless at the moment. The GeForce 7050PV chipset includes native TV out support as well, meaning you can also use either composite, S-video or component outputs. This gives the 7050PV chipset a competitive feature set compared to AMD's 690G, and makes it a potential HTPC chipset of choice.
You can see a short technical documentation of Biostar TF7050-M2 motherboard below :
  • Processor : AMD Socket AM2 processors

Intel Adds Two New Technologies To X38
Intel is busy working on two enthusiast features for the X38 chipset before the launch next month. Not content by having two x16 PCI Express 2.0 slots with CrossFire support, Intel is going to take on nVidia’s SLI memory technology with what it calls Extreme Memory. This is the same concept as nVidia’s SLI memory, although Intel is only going to certify DDR3 modules, DDR2 won’t be considered. According to the news report, Intel is already working with Kingston and OCZ and samples should be available in late September. The good news is that the Extreme Memory modules should also be compatible with the P35 chipset, as long as your board supports DDR3 modules, as well as Intel’s next generation mobile performance chipset.
Intel is also working on a software application similar to nVidia’s nTune, which is called Extreme Tuning. This enables you to adjust BIOS settings from with in the OS and this makes for easier overclocking for those not familiar with the BIOS. However, Extreme Tuning is only for the X38 chipset, but hopefully Intel will release it for other chipsets as well. It will be customizable by the motherboard partners to fit with their choice of colour and design.

Foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H
computer motherboard Foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H is a Intel motherboard that uses Intel P965 chipset. As we know together this chipset is intended to be situated somewhere in between the 945P and 975X chipset in terms of features and performance. However it has a newer southbridge than either of them, which adds up to 6 native SATA-II ports in your motherboard. Intel has finally done away with the PATA interface though, so the computer motherboard makers are left with using a third-party chip to allow the installation of an optical drive. Like most, Foxconn has gone with the JMicron JMB363, which also adds some extra SATA-II ports, e-SATA, and even basic software RAID functions.
With both the ICH8-R and JMicron JMB363 controller being used, the P9657AA supports an impressive 7 SATA drives; 6 directly from the ICH-8R and 1 e-SATA port on the rear panel. Note that to make use of the hot-swapping function, RAID drivers need to be installed. In legacy mode, both controllers are detected for a proper Windows XP installation. FireWire IEEE1394a is handled by the VIA VT6308P controller, which does not have the Windows XP SP2 driver issue, so it will work properly without need for hotfixes or special drivers that cost money.
Some flaws is, there are only 4 USB ports on the motherboard's rear panel (although having an e-SATA port kind of makes up for it, they could have done away with the COM port and added a bracket adapter for the very few who will ever use it). There is no digital audio input on the rear panel (there is an internal connector for a digital input adapter, but one is not included in the box), and output is handled by Optical S/PDIF instead of Coaxial.
The some technical data for Foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H motherboard are :
  • Processor : Intel LGA775 processors
  • Chipset : Intel P965 / ICH8R
  • FSB : 533 / 800 / 1066 MHz
  • Memory : 4 x DDR2 (533/677/800 MHz)
  • Multiplier : Auto
  • Form Factor : ATX (30.5cm x 24.4cm)

Biostar TP35D3-A7 Deluxe
computer motherboard Comes with Intel P35 chipset, make Biostar TP35D3-A7 Deluxe motherboard supports native DDR3 1333 MHz. The DDR3's prefetch buffer width is 8 bit, whereas DDR2's is 4 bit, and DDR's is "only" 2 bit. Theoretically, these modules could transfer data at the effective clockrate of 800-1600MHz (for a single clock bandwidth of 400-800MHz), compared to DDR2's current range of 400-1066 MHz (200-533 MHz) or DDR's range of 200-600 MHz (100-300 MHz). To date, such bandwidth requirements have been mainly on the graphics market, where fast transfer of information between framebuffers is required. Biostar uses solid capacitor for this motherboard, so it provides extreme durability and secure performance of your system.
SPACE–Pipe is a new silent north bridge cooling device. It uses a heat-pipe to conduct heat from the chipset heatsink to a PWM fin-heatsink collection module. Airflow from the CPU fan then removes the heat collected from the CPU, the chipset, and PWM fin-heatsink, effectively cooling your system with no additional noise. And all of this is based on materials used in the space industry. This SPACE-Pipe technology lets your computer becomes more silent. Beside of that, there are some Biostar innovations technology such as "Clean-Tone" Audio design (reduces high frequencies noise generated by a motherboard), ONE (Overclock Navigator Engine), T-Power (All in one utility interface), Rapid Switch (the Power and Reset buttons are built on-board) and another innovative features. Unfortunately, this Intel motherboard doesn't provide FireWire connector.
Let's take a look of some technical data about this Biostar's motherboard :
  • Processor : Intel LGA775 processors
  • Chipset : Intel P35 / ICH9R
  • FSB : 800 / 1066 / 1333 MHz
  • Memory : 4 x DDR3 (800/1066/1333 MHz)

Penryn is a base of all 45nm Core 2 micro architecture products, including quad-core Xeon Harpertown, quad-core Core 2 Yorkfield and dual-core Xeon, Core 2 Wolfdale processors. Intel improves existing Wide Dynamic Execution, Advanced Smart Cache, Advanced Digital Media Boost and Intelligent Power Capability, technologies that previously made its debut with Conroe and Merom. Intel expects SSE4 optimizations to deliver performance improvements in video authoring, imagine, graphics, video search, off-chip accelerators, gaming and physics applications.
Mobile Penryn processors is featured enhanced power saving technologies. The new technology in the mobile Penryn is a deep power down state. Using this technology, Intel claims significant power savings in idle modes for extended battery life with the new power state. For servers and workstations, Intel has designed Harpertown with additional headroom for the front-side bus. Intel plans to debut Penryn-based Xeon DP, MP and UP processors with 1333 MHz front-side bus, but the architecture has headroom for up to 1600 MHz front-side bus. Penryn-based quad and dual-core Xeons will have three thermal envelopes. Quad-core Harpertown Xeons will have 50, 80 and 120-watt TDP ratings while dual-core Wolfdale Xeons have 40, 65 and 80-watt ratings. And the desktop Core 2 and Core 2 Extreme processors have less thermal bins. Quad-core Yorkfield models have 95 and 130-watt TDPs while dual-core Wolfdale models have a single 65-watt TDP. Intel hasn't set thermal ratings for its mobile Penryn processors yet.
Following Penryn is a new Nehalem architecture, based on 45nm with Intel's new QuickPath technology, formerly known as common-system interface. Nehalem is set for a 2008 introduction, beginning with the Xeon family for servers and workstations. Intel plans to shrink Nehalem to 32nm with the Westmere core. AMD's 690G Chipset Is Reborn
Back in February of this year, we took a look at the AMD 690G chipset and praised it for its affordability, power efficiency, and strong performance relative to its competition. Now, this chipset is back with an update. AMD optimized this chipset further through some BIOS and software level enhancements that result in marked performance gains in a number of situations and also introduce some new features.
AMD claims the new 690G chipset is now capable of smooth HD DVD and Blu-ray playback at 1080p. Unfortunately, you won't find AMD's Universal Video Decoder in it. Instead, AMD says it's been able to smooth high definition video playback through "driver streamlining". To ensure smooth playback with all HD DVD and Bluray movies at their maximum resolution, you will need at least an Athlon X2 4600+. Not only that, AMD recommends dual-channel memory configurations of at least DDR2-667, and a minimum of 1GB of memory for playback in Windows XP, and 2GB for Vista.

Serial ATA (SATA)

Serial ATA (SATA) is a computer bus primarily designed for transfer of data between a computer and storage devices (like hard disks or optical drives). The main benefits are thinner cable that let air cooling work more efficiently, faster transfers, ability to remove devices while operating (Hot swapping), and more reliable operation with tighter data integrity checks. It was designed as a successor to the legacy Advanced Technology Attachment (ATA) standard, and is expected to eventually replace the older technology (retroactively renamed Parallel ATA or PATA). Serial ATA adapters and devices communicate over a high-speed serial link.

Here is the variants of SATA:
  1. SATA 1.5 Gbit/s
  2. First-generation SATA interfaces (also known as SATA/150 or (unofficially) as SATA 1) has actual uncoded transfer-rate at 1.2 Gbit/s or 150 MB/s. In actual operation, SATA/150 and PATA/133 are comparable in terms of their theoretical burst-throughput. However, newer SATA devices offer enhancements (such as native command queuing) to SATA's performance in a multitask environment. For comparison, modern desktop hard drives transfer data at a maximum of ~90 MB/s, which is well within the performance capabilities of even the older PATA/133 specification.
  3. SATA 3.0 Gbit/s
  4. On this version, a 3 Gbit/s signaling rate was added to the Physical layer (PHY layer), effectively doubling data throughput from 150 MB/s to 300 MB/s. SATA/300's transfer rate is expected to satisfy drive throughput requirements for some time, as the fastest desktop hard disks barely saturate a SATA/150 link. This is why a SATA data cable rated for 1.5 Gbit/s will currently handle second generation, SATA 3.0 Gbit/s sustained and burst data transfers without any loss of performance.
About compatibility issue, SATA/300's autonegotiation sequence is designed to fallback to SATA/150 speed (1.5 Gbit/s rate) when in communication with such devices. In practice, some older SATA controllers do not properly implement SATA speed negotiation. Affected systems require user-intervention to manually set the SATA 3.0 Gbit/s peripherals to 1.5 Gbit/s mode, generally through the use of a jumper.
The 3.0 Gbit/s specification has been very widely referred to as “Serial ATA II” (“SATA II”), contrary to the wishes of the Serial ATA standards organization that authored it. The official website notes that SATA II was in fact that organization's name at the time, the SATA 3.0 Gbit/s specification being only one of many that the former SATA II defined, and suggests that “SATA 3.0 Gbit/s” be used instead.
  5. SATA 6.0 Gbit/s
  6. SATA's roadmap includes plans for a 6.0 Gbit/s standard. In current PCs, SATA 3.0 Gbit/s already greatly exceeds the sustainable (non-burst) transfer rate of even the best hard disks. The 6.0 Gbit/s standard is right now useful in combination with port multipliers, which allow multiple drives to be connected to a single Serial ATA port, thus sharing the port's bandwidth with multiple drives. Solid-state drives such as RAM disks may also one day exploit the faster transfer rate.
  7. External SATA
  8. Standardized in mid-2004, eSATA defined separate cables, connectors, and revised electrical requirements for external applications :
    • Minimum transmit potential increased: Range is 500–600 mV instead of 400–600 mV.
    • Minimum receive potential decreased: Range is 240–600 mV instead of 325–600 mV.
    • Identical protocol and logical signaling (link/transport-layer and above), allowing native SATA devices to be deployed in external enclosures with minimal modification.
    • Maximum cable length of 2 m (USB and FireWire allow longer distances)
Aimed at the consumer market, eSATA enters an external storage market already served by the USB and FireWire interfaces.

Foxconn N68S7AA-8EKRS2H
intel computer motherboard Around about a couple of years ago, it was hard to find motherboards of a large variety for the Intel processor platform. Pentium 4 was really a sour spot with the computer motherboard producers. On the other hand, chipsets for AMD’s Athlon 64 processors were plentiful - nVidia, SiS, ULi, ATI and even VIA technologies all had chipsets out to take some market share for Athlon 64. Now the tables have turned - AMD is on the back burner, while there are chipsets still being made for AMD processors, clearly Core 2 has given Intel new life, and chipsets from the major vendors are coming in hard and fast, for example this nForce 680i chipset from nVidia.
Today we are looking at another contender for the Core 2 market using the nVidia nForce 680i chipset being Foxconn with their obscurely named N68S7AA-8EKRS2H motherboard. Foxconn has been known in the past for the more budget conscious computer motherboards, not wanting to take on the big boys like MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte and the likes who really push overclocking to its limits but it seems like they mean business now and are ready for the challenge.

Here is the specifications of the Foxconn N68S7AA-8EKRS2H motherboard :

AMD also designed this RS780 to supports Socket AM2+ processors with HyperTransport 3.0. The new graphic core on it, had supported AMD's Universal Video Decoder (UVD), a technology for hardware acceleration of H.264 and VC-1 video formats. Not only that, The RS780 chipset also supports DisplayPort, DVI and HDMI digital video output interfaces and has integrated audio controller for simultaneous audio and video output over HDMI. The chipset also integrates HDCP support. Additionally, the chipset supports TV-out, VGA and LVDS outputs. The graphics core also has two independent display controllers for dual independent displays. The local frame buffer feature will make a return on the RS780, allowing manufacturers to equip the graphics core with dedicated video memory. Users that prefer more 3D graphics power can install an external graphics card uses a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. The RS780 will also have additional PCIe 2.0 lanes for lesser slots.
On the sothbridge side, this RS780 chipset will be paired with the SB700. The SB700 only supports PCI, because all of PCIe functionality has moved to the northbridge side. AMD increases USB support to 12 USB 2.0 ports plus an additional 2 USB 1.1 ports. This new southbridge supports up to six SATA 3.0 Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1 and 10 support. SB700 chipset also supports IDE port, but AMD designed this port for double duty, there are as a physical PATA port or as a HyperFlash (The AMD's technology name for Intel's Turbo Memory competitor).
RS780 chipset has one minor difference if compared between commercial and consumer platform. For commercial platforms, AMD designates a Broadcom BCM5761 as a managed NIC to allows remote management. This technology is similar with Intel's AMT technology. AMD also recommends a TPM 1.2 module for greater security.

ASUS Blitz Extreme & Formula Motherboards
computer motherboard Both of these motherboards look identical, the only difference is that the Extreme uses DDR3 while the Formula uses DDR2. Other than that, it is very difficult to finding physical differences between them. The Blitz motherboards use Intel's P35 chipset and pack more features than you can shake a stick at. These motherboards have a better Crossfire capabilities, because Asus use a special chipset called CrossLinx, which effectively makes each PCIe slot function as 8x, instead of the 16x 4x combination like in the ASUS Commando.
These computer motherboards also have a northbridge with heatsink ready for water, Voltiminder LEDs, Extreme Tweaking ability, external LCD Poster, Supreme FX II sound card, on-board power on/off and reset, in addition to a quick BIOS reset, Q-Connector, spare chipset fans, feet for an external install, temperature diodes, STALKER and 3D Mark 06. The LCD poster is used to connecting a port on the motherboard and can sit on your computer or desk. Whenever the BIOS makes a query, it will display on this poster. When nothing is going on, a digital clock is displayed instead. This is all done on a very bright blue backlit screen.
